Bank-on-Rain
Designing a GREEN planet, one raindrop at a time

The Bank-On-Rain mission is to create grassroots solutions for rainwater collection for consumption and agriculture in developing areas of the planet.

Bank-On-Rain is a not for profit (501c) corporation composed of a small and nimble group of dedicated individuals whose prime focus is to assist, share expertise, or partner with other organizations or foundations for development and implementation of rainwater collection & storage initiatives.

Our objectives have a heavy bias towards education & sustainability. We believe clean accessible drinking water can be made available via our sustainable grass roots focus and continuing education to individuals who don’t have access to this basic resource. The scope of education reach will include m-health and m-learning.

Bank-On-Rain is an approved member of the peer water exchange (PWX) which is a participatory decision-making system to select, fund, manage, monitor, and share grassroots water and sanitation projects worldwide efficiently, effectively, and transparently.

One of the current four projects in review is in RWANDA, in a village near Gisenyi, on the shore of Lake Kivu, Bank-On-Rain plans to install 12 small systems. These small systems (250-500 gals) will be used for collecting and storing rain during the two rainy seasons. This will allow the women, who haul the water most of everyday, to go to school instead.
